Our Team
Hannah became a Chartered accountant in May 2021. Her undergraduate study was a Bachelor of Commerce, majoring in Accounting.
Hannah deals with a variety of clients including large and small businesses as well as individuals, preparing financial statements, tax returns, and BASes.
Hannah is Xero Advisor Certified, and Payroll Certified. She has also assisted the transition of software for a number of businesses, and also provided other support or advice as required.
Robert has worked in Public Practice for over 32 years including 13 years as a Principal in a 4 partner firm and 7+ years as a principal in his own right. He has vast experience and knowledge covering income tax and capital gains tax with particular emphasis on individuals and small to medium businesses.
Robert has extensive knowledge of the different structures including Proprietary Limited Companies, Family trusts, Partnerships, Sole Traders and Self Managed Superannuation Funds.
Robert consistently exceeds the required minimum of 40 hours per year of Professional Development.
Herbie Begemann

Director
Herbie is a registered Chartered Accountant in Australia with over 20 years of accounting experience. He joined Richwood in 2013.
Herbie received formal audit and accounting training, beginning in public practice in South Africa in 1998. He has previously served in a variety of roles ranging from auditing to management accounting and financial accounting both in South Africa and Australia.
Herbie's experience in other accounting areas also allows him to add further value for businesses in addition to excellent compliance and taxation services.

She particularly enjoys working on self managed super funds and tax planning for businesses and individuals.

Bert van Dijk
BCom, CA
Bert graduated from Curtin University in 1995 with a Bachelor in Commerce. He became a Certified Practising Accountant in 1997 and since 2015 has been a Fellow of the CPA Society. In 2002 he became a principal of Richwood Accountants.
Bert began moving toward retirement in 2022, and continues to work 2 days per week.
Bert has expertise in advising small to medium businesses, specialises in Self Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSF’s), and has a passion for advising pre-retirees.
James Versluis
B.Com
Accountant
James graduated from Curtin University in March 2019 with a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting and Tax. Prior to joining the Richwood team in September 2020, he worked in a management accounting role.
James’ original exposure to preparation of tax returns was as part of the Curtin Tax Clinic, starting in February 2018 and continuing through until February 2020.
He now works with a range of entities, assisting with the preparation of financial statements and tax returns.
Maree Dekker
Accountant
Maree began working at Richwood in October 2019, and is currently studying Commerce at Curtin University, majoring in Accounting.
Maree has achieved Xero Advisor Certification, and provides expert advice for our Xero clients.
She completes bookkeeping for a number of clients, manages ASIC compliance and assists with the preparation of business activity statements and tax returns.
Steven Amoraal

Junior Accountant
Steven is a recent addition to our team at Richwood Accountants, having joined us in January 2022 in the role of bookkeeper and junior accountant.
Steven has completed a Certificate III in Accounts Admin and Certificate IV in Accounting and Bookkeeping.
Steven primarily works on the preparation of business activity statements for a range of entities, and personal tax returns.
Hayley Wilkinson
Receptionist
Hayley will most likely be the first face you see when you come in, or the first voice you hear when you call.
She is able to assist with most client admin queries and appointment bookings, or will direct you to the team member most suited to helping you.
